Snippets
If you find yourself placing the same group of objects over and over, snippets let you save any part of a drawing and reuse it whenever you need it.
How to Create a Snippet
- Select the objects in your drawing that you want to save.
- Go to
Edit → Save as Snippet. - Give it a name in the dialog. You can organize snippets into groups to keep things tidy.
How to Use a Snippet
- Go to
Insert → Snippet. - A dialog opens showing your saved snippets.
- Double-click a snippet to insert it, or select it and click
OK.
How to Delete a Snippet
Select the snippet in the dialog and press Delete.
Transferring Snippets to Another Computer
Snippets live in your symbol library under _CONF\snippets. Each one is a .snippet file — just copy the folder to move them between machines.
