Hyperlinks

Hyperlinks let you jump to any page, symbol, file, or website directly from your drawing. Just click a hyperlink to go to its target.

Creating a Hyperlink

1. Add text to the drawing and select it.
2. In the Properties panel, under the Other group, enter the Link using one of these formats:

Type of Link	Format	Example
To a page	/short page name	/AUX
To a symbol	symbol/short page name	W5/AUX
To a file	file:/// + path to the file	file:///D:/contracts/contract.pdf
To a web page	http:// or https:// + URL	https://www.proficad.com/

For file links, there's a shortcut: click the Link Target link at the bottom of the Properties panel to browse for the file.

Moving a Link

Hold F6 while clicking a hyperlink to move it without accidentally activating it.

Appearance of Hyperlinks

To make hyperlinks easy to spot, format them with blue text and underlining.
