Wiring diagram for installation

In this video we will learn how to draw electrical wiring on a floor plan (wiring diagram for installation).

First we will insert the title block so we can better lay out the remaining working area. Insert title block using command File - Options - Title Block. In drawings on one sheet of paper the title block should be positioned in portrait direction.

Let us draw the walls and windows. We can set the raster to a smaller value, so we can set the width of the windows the same as the width of the walls.

We move the walls and windows to the background layer. Now we cannot move them accidentally when working on the electrical wiring.

Next we insert the electrical symbols and wires. This way we would finish the drawing.

Let us return for a while to the title block. It is necessary to fill in the data fields. The data fields in the title block are designated by the { } symbols. The actual values for the data fields need to be entered in the File - Options - Summary dialog window.

Here is the finished diagram.
